Dennis Elenburg

Dennis Elenburg is a Solutions Architect for Rally Software and dedicated problem solver who accidentally got into the software industry 25 years ago by discovering he wasn’t smart enough to be a particle physicist. After failing to unlock the secrets of the universe, he pivoted into a career of unlocking the secrets of building better software, and has had a lot of fun along the way. With almost no formal training in software, everything he’s learned has been through trial and error (a.k.a. “inspect and adapt”) and other people’s mistakes for the last two and half decades. His passion for Agile was ignited when he realized agility solves many of the problems he’d experienced over the years as a systems engineer, business analyst, software configuration manager, QA manager, and software tools engineer. As a wannabe physicist, Dennis looks at software problems through his physics philosophy of “Overcome Inertia, Reduce Friction, and Avoid Entropy.”
